Herbal Baths
The Red Dao herbal bath is the traditional healing bath of the Red Dao people in Sapa. It includes hydrotherapy and aromatherapy.
The Sapa Farmstay Herbal Bath Experience is authentic and traditional.
You will begin your experience with a short drive to Nam Can.
Nam Can is home to the Red Dao tribe. Recognisable with their unique red "Santa Hats", their knowledge of the surrounding foliage is truly astonishing.
In order to make a good herbal bath, raw ingredients are essential.
You will accompany local Red Dao tribespeople to forage for the best leaves and herbs to prepare the bath. (This is optional but highly recommended to truly immerse yourselves in local traditional practice).
Once the perfect ingredients are prepared, the bath will made.
Time to relax.
The Red Dao traditional herbal bath is one of a kind.
Healing yet relaxing, you will be able to truly regenerate yourself.
The bath reduces bone and joint pain. It is also used to prevent headaches, fatigue, bodily stress caused by physical strain.
After the bath, transportation will be organised to bring you back to Sapa Farmstay.
